not to flog a dead horse, but I still really want a Cherry Moderne.
I'd sell a kidney for one. I don't drink that much anymore anyways...

I don't think you'll have to sell a kidney for the re-reissue.
Looks like our prayers are going to be answered. I predict they sell out quick.

that certainly makes sense. however, the list seems to contain a good number of items that will appeal to a broad list of people AND apparently a Moderne. Looks to me to be a smart move by Gibson on several fronts. Very excited. Very Very excited and if it's not finalized, all the better. Cherry Moderne! CHERRY MODERNE!!!!
let me know when I'm treading on thin ice.

Probably too true. Unfortunately, Google cached it, from those dealers, after they inadvertently posted it onto their own websites.
And no, I'm not going to take further risks by posting any more info than that. YMWV.
Lead times, production quotas, regional availability, etc. It's random enough to run a casino!
Where's my TONE?

OK, it's killing me. I know it may not happen, pricing and details could always change, but I'm thinking that there's a pretty good chance we're going to see a limited run of Moderne's in Oct. Anyone care to drop any hints about how this release will differ from the early 80's Moderne RI's? I am dying to know what headstock you are going to go with.

OK, we're getting closer to the proposed release date. I know details and pricing are still TBD, but I now have multiple dealers stating that they are aware of the model, and assuming it actually becomes available that they can get one for me (yay). Bravo to Gibson on this one, looks like it's ticking all the right boxes in terms of everything and the street price is also looking entirely reasonable.
what I'm dying to know...what headstock will it have?
I'd love it to have a Futura headstock, or failing that a proper Gumby, but it is what it is.
so...
What is it?

agreed. recent wood/feds issues have me concerned for any instrument being produced/shipped at this point. I'm hoping for one of these, and I'd imagine this issue is affecting its production (amongst many others) although I don't know that for sure.
anyone at Gibson care to comment?
