Our policy has been to run a batch of left handed guitars, once in a long while, and have inventory stock available for an order when it comes in.

This system has not worked well for our valuable left handed customers or ourselves. I will be forming a group a Gibson to see if we can somehow address this unmet need.

I would just like to let you know what a wonderful benefit it is to players to have Arlen Roth teaching on your website. Arlen not only has a wealth of knowledge but his playing also reflects a great sensitivity and touch that are unfortunately not as common among contemporary guitarists as I believe they should be. His lessons are most informative, and even if I already have the knowledge of a certain subject he may be teaching, he reminds me of how to do it the right way. Arlen is a significant asset to Gibson in my opinion and I would certainly miss him and a lot of information in your news letters if for some reason your relationship with Arlen would be ended. I read them principally because I know there will be a audio/video session with Arlen. I hope you can arrange a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Arlen for the benefit of all of us Gibson players or potential Gibson players.

One last unrelated thought. I purchased a new Johnny A Signature model with a Bigsby in the spring of this year around the time the flood hit us. I must deliver my appreciation to all of those Gibson associates that consructed this beautiful instrument. I believe it is the best designed guitar Gibson has made and is not only an advanced physical and visual work of art, it is a tonal masterpiece as well. I do not know how to express my appreciation to those Gibson employees who created this work of art. I can only thank you and hope that you will pass my appreciation and admiration to those who deserve it. It is number 953. Thank you all for making my guitar.

I was kinda going crazy for the three months waiting for it, but as usual I was very pleased with my guitar. Knowing how hard your people have to work to stand up to the quality level of the Gibson Legacy, I as one being on the grind, Know's how good it makes me feel when someone takes time to let me know that they have appreciated when a job is well done. So in turn I'm doing the same for your people. So if you could Please, Let them know they get an "ATTABOY" from me here in Virginia.

I need some help. I am deployed to Combat Out Post Shocker, Iraq and I decided to learn to play acoustic guitar while I'm here. A buddy of mine brought his and is willing to help me learn. So I decided to go online and purchase a book and a guitar. To my surprise, the various websites I visited do not ship their merchandise (specifically music instruments) to APO addresses (Army Postal Office). Now I have a book but no guitar and a long year ahead of me. Who do you know that can help me? I am willing to pay $75 to $100 for a decent guitar since I am a beginner. Thank you.

I'm also a huge fan,and have always stood by Gibson's products. This is why I am so suprised by the several Problems with my new SJ-200 Standard.(see my post,SJ-200 quality issues) .Mine is not the one in one hundred evidently.The scale lenght is off,the electronics are rattling,and the frets are buzzing like crazy(needs set up).It's on it's way back to Bozman,leaving me with many questions as to what has happened to Gibson.??

We have been getting great feedback on our acoustic guitars. I believe the Bozeman facility is exceptional with a small dedicated work force committed to quality hand built instruments.

I believe that negative gossip comes from the competition who is actively fanning the flames.

We make many hundreds of the Gibson acoustics in the course of a year and they cost a significant amount of money. I think people spending that kind of money would not do so unless they were highly satisfied with the product.

It is pretty easy to see problems like frets buzzing, or electronics rattling in a store. I would be curious how someone buys a product that has obvious flaws and does not notice them until they get home? It is impossible for the scale length to be off because the cutters are accurate to thousands of an inch.

Guitars, especially acoustic guitars can be impacted by environmental changes. If you are interested, I have several posts regarding this in this forum.

Ultimately, I recommend people actually go to a dealership and play a guitar and insure it is right for them. That is the beautiful part of having a dealer that is willing to invest in inventory to allow you full satisfaction.

If there is a problem with any Gibson brand product, we have 24 hour - seven day a week support. We do care and people who enjoy helping.

Well what can we say? We love those Les Pauls...and thanks for saving all the fine woods for the new les Pauls too! I am thinking of the Slash line as my fave signature guitars to date. I think the SG is also a fave...thanks for creating this forum and online site. Hope you will do more to encourage us all in the future. You saved the Gibson company and we all owe a debt of thanks. our producer has a Les Paul he bought in 1978 at the factory. He let me touch it! I think it is awesome. Soem day I may even get to play it in the studo.

Well, I stand behind every word. The "sandwich" bodies were the biggest reason why Gibson was in such trouble through out the Mid 70's and even for a few years after Henry bought the company. It took nearly a decade for Gibson to regain the publics trust in their quality. What I didn't know, was that Randy himself did the actual design work on his original signature line. Turns out that not just the woods, but the actual shape itself is designed for an increased treble response. Love to know how that works.

I just find it extremely disgraceful, that they not only wait nearly 30 years to finally honor the man, but that they choose to do it with such a substandard issue, even if it is "historically accurate".
