Raven...

Assuming you're talking to me... <grin>

Just got my main home machine back from the shop. Had a bad board that cut Web connections.

Working on a benefit show with a batch of youngsters so I'll probably go electric acoustic on it. Haven't decided for sure yet.

Otherwise... <bigger grin> just did a PR presentation for a group I'm a member of to try to get them to realize it ain't 1960 - and "shot" a bunch of people. Busy Saturday. Today just re setup for the main home machine. Now I've gotta batch of stuff to write and some pix to format.

As Satchel Page used to say, you don't wanna look back 'cuz somebody might be gaining...

ok, I got the part about doing a show and promo shoot, but you gotta remember, that all these scrapes, and scars on my knuckles ain't from work, or fighting, that's just how I walk! Hell, I'm only the 2ND person in my entire family to walk upright, so please, type slow, and use one syllable techno-jargon...

Sounds like a bit of work especially writing, then fine tuning the code. Have fun! I'll stick with "Pot Farm", on Facebook. That's about as techie as I get, LOL!

Once upon a 2ND marriage ago, I had about 5 or 6 rack cases full of all the "newest marvels". I think that before the ex-w***e pawned what I didn't have with me that tour, I might have learned to use 1/3rd of it all. Now I just stick to 1/2 a dozen stomp boxes, an old Laney stack, and 3 guitars. (ok,ok, I know THAT won't last! I think this cute ES-175 was flirting with me...)

Several years ago, when I finally 'grew-up", and joined the rat-race, I didn't have time, or $ to rebuild my arsenal, now I'm retired/disabled, I only lack the $.
But I seriously dont believe I need much more than a few FX,for flavor, and all the guitars I can get my hands on! LMAO

I dont use anything but my peterson strobo stomp tuner and foot switch to my Boogie head.Use to run two boogie heads in stereo into 412,even then when lights go down couldnt see which pedal I was hitting,so made it simple.Guys in band always say,use this and use that, pounding out 70 to 80 songs a night, just dont have time to be pedaly happy and in tune in seconds, alone trying to think of the next song.Must be working the crowds are still there.

As to refusing to "grow up," I think when we lose that child-like wonder at learning, we may as well get planted anyway.

Some where along the line one thinks he has it all figured out and the new doesnt apply, only to find out that the work you passed on then, twice or more difficult now.The will to play and excepting the changes,as a old child its tough.

I look at Les Paul. Even into his 90's, the guy kept a "young" attitude. As children we have fun in play. Les had fun playing...conceptually not a big stretch. I know that when I pick up a guitar, I'm having fun and that's what keeps me young even though my kids consider my 47 years as to make me an ancient. Posted Image
