I'm sure many know of one small Brick & mortar store who once carried Gibson or one who wishes to but cannot afford the required premium that has now been proposed on them.

Mom & Pop Stores are harder to find these days as many cannot survive.

This is true. And now you've got places like Best Buy selling guitars, which is ridiculous imo. Instruments should be bought at a store that specializes in instruments. Not the store I go too to buy a TV or Video Game.

It's similar to the Bicycle industry (in which I am involved on the fringe).. Same thing is happening, Big Box store sells a poorly setup bicycle (won't shift right, brakes mis-alligned) to customer, customer rides, hates it as it doesn't work correctly, thinks product is cr@p..

ie: the brand suffers because of the incompetence of the people who have no idea about the product they are selling.

Mom n' Pop store: setup is perfect, product is more expensive.. But people love their bike...

Hopefully the consumer will learn, before it's too late..
