When I try to log in the "regular" Gibson forum, the error message "not registered member" pops up.

Why can't the 4henry registrations serve over there as well? Do I have to have 2 seperate usernames?

Two different forums. You need to register over there.

I disagree. "4henry" is a subforum of gibson.com, and it's a waste of bandwidth to lock the users out of the regular forum. If I'm a "Gibson forum member", I shouldn't need two different accounts.

LMAO... Well you do need separate account for both forums. Two totally different forums = 2 different accounts. Whats the big deal?

Some might think I'm being a little nit-picky. I just wonder what the purpose is. Why the separation between forums? If I took the time to register in the "4henry" forum, to share my opinions directly with Henry J., then perhaps I should be allowed to interact with other Gibson fans in the "regular" forum. They're not 2 different forums; 4henry is a subforum of the regular one. I think there's a little "velvet rope" syndrome going on, and for a company trying to make instruments that appeal to the greatest possible audience, that may be counterproductive.

I was on one of the "old" forums, before Henry bought in. I got a great response from people on an international level. 4henry seems a little lopsided, and a little stale. Not a lot of contributions from anyone outside the US, and there's often weeks between posts. There's some input from the company management, but Henry's been a ghost sine October. In my opinion, it indicates a lack of the commitment that he expressed initially.

This forum is for communicating with Gibson directly without hiding behind a persona. It is limited and not open to just anyone without a comfirmation of positive ID. On Herny where abouts to me is unknown but is not just on this forum.
