There have been many instances of people complaining on MLP forum of an issue with the (Gisbon Custom Shop RI) ABR1 bridges with respect to intonation adjustments. The saddle screws are often bent and when they are turned to try and adjust the intonation, the screws lift out of the notches for them in the bridge. One theory we've been sharing is that the person who strings the guitar and notches the saddles is using some sort of mallet to mark the centres on the saddles and this process is what is bending the screws.
I have noticed the same issue on my new R7 as well.
Can this be looked into and if indeed a mallet or some thing is being used to strike the notches, have the process modified to prevent the bending of the screws?
Thank you.
