Help
I'll try again to find out if there will ever be an upgrade for the tuning system for Robot guitars. Here is my question that I posted a year ago: "I bought my Robot SG almost 2 years ago with the assurance that an upgrade path to the newer robot technology would be provided by Gibson. " Is the upgrade kit available yet, and if not will it ever be available?

Considering the ghost town that Gibson has made of this forum, I wouldn't count on a reply anytime soon. If you think Henry J. is answering your question, you'll be disappointed. He's made a point of avoiding this place, even though he claimed it would be a way for Gibson owners and fans to reach out to him.
As for the Robot tuner upgrade, the lack of response should be an answer in and of itself. I'm sorry for your situation, but it seems this is how things are being handled.

I talked to customer support AND my authorized repair center in NYC. Gibson Customer Support said they are not in the loop on this project, so they will not be the 1st to know. The authorized repair center in NYC chosen to do the retrofit said, the project is not dead yet, call back in 6 months. Like I said before 2012 could be the year!

The last post on this thread was October 18th of last year, so there's no way to know if the upgrade kit has been implemented.
If anyone in Gibson cared about this forum and the people who still post here, they'd try harder to answer.
What a shame... I thought the words "family" and "support" really meant something to Gibson management.
