I have a question regarding the original Nighthawks from the 90s. I am the original owner and I have the ST-3 model with 3 pickups and a Floyd Rose. It wasn't until recently (I feel stupid admitting this), that it had a push pull switch on the Tone knob. I know that this cuts the humbuckers to single coil giving the player quite a bit of versality.
I am curious though, when I pull my up going into single coil mode the middle position on the 5-way switch doesn't produce any sound. Is this normal or is there possibly something wrong with my wiring?
Thanks,
Scott Sill

I used to have one of those, and that silent position is a feature, not a fault.
