So, I was wondering if there are any studio musicians or performing artist using this guitar, and if so, what are your impressions? I'm sure there are probably some folks that are using these at home, but I'm more interested in how this guitar is working in the studio or during gigs. Do you find that it really does eliminate the need for additional guitars or do you find that its more of a gimmick. what are your thoughts.

I personally got to try out a few. They are much different in person than I expected looks wise. They are very high tech as for me I am old school. They do have any guitar and studio sound in them & I can see them being very useful to someone who adapt to technology.

Its too advanced for me I like to think it as you can put is as vinyl albums compare to the new tech DAT Format I-tune generation. Saying that I can see it being very viable to the new generation who are from the smart phone generation.

I have not been able to try one. My local Guitar Center got a pair of them a year or so ago. One Red and one Blue. Both have been hung high up on the wall and have not moved. I've never seen anyone ask for them, never saw anyone playing one, never saw it up close. I've noticed most of the more expensive guitars, except PRS models, are kept up high like that. It makes the guitar discouraging to even want to play where their at. I know all the salesmen and managers in the store by first name. They've shown me all sorts of stuff coming through the door. No one has mentioned anything about trying one of those out. Like Mr. Kimble, I'm inclined to be a little more old school with my guitar technology. Reasoning? Less is more. The less I have to worry about braking the more I can focus on playing... Why have a guitar that does it all when there are multi-effect units out there that can do all those things, perhaps even better, without the cost. If they go bad or if there is a better technology, you can sell the effect and get the latest. I don't see anyone selling a $4,000 Gibson because its effects on a newer model sound better than the old model.

That is a good question. Where are the Gibson endorsees, and why haven't they been seen on stage with the FBX? Who's recorded with one? What solos have been tracked in the studio?

I tried one at the Copenhagen Guitar show, very nice to play and certainly in the mix for my search for a one size fits all electric. Only draw back is no 13 pin out, the Line 6 variax doesn´t have one either or the VG strat, personally I think synth access in this market is a must.
