Help
Can someone at Gibson come forward honestly and for the record and state whether or not the 2 piece rosewood boards are being incorporated into the Historics (Re-Issue series) please? I understand it's being done now on USA models and that fact is reflected on the specs and information on the models in queston. However, the CUstom SHop models I checked (Specifically the 1958 VOS) do not mention this. Rumours on MLP are that this has in fact happened and it will affect the desireability of the RIs as they used to strive for accuracy. My new 2012 R8 is on its way and for the money I paid (which is an increase over my 2010 R7) I'd like to know what I bought as is my right.

Well the usual Gibson transparency. No answer on Historics. I guess I'll have to knock the nut of my R8 when it gets here and see!
