Here's my suggestion... I believe the current studio line does not compare to the value and quality of the Tribute series. A lot of thick finishes on the guitars makes them really heavy and saps the tone. I suggest Gibson should the stop production of the Studio line and replace them with the Tribute series. The tone, weight, and looks of the Tribute line far exceed that of the Studio line. Gibson will save money on paint and shipping costs (reduced weight). They must know the Tribute series is a hot item. Now that there is a Tribute line that has humbuckers, the Studio models are already half-way out the door...

I believe the Tribute series is part of the studio line, so to stop the Studio line would stop Tribute series.

I can't agree at all...many people LOVE their studios, myself included. I own a 2010 50's tribute P90 version in Honeyburst. It's a really GREAT instrument. I have owned OLD LP's, '68 an 74 Customs, and this Studio is as good a player as they were. I love the feel of it and it looks very 50's as well.

I would love to see more LP's with P90's too, but please keep the studios coming.
