I am selling my vintage and collectors piece guitar collection. these days I am concentrating on playing much more.
I have been studying music and Digital Signal Processing for the past two years and the Firebird X along with other players in the field all impress me hugely.
Gibson have been brave to develop this product and I for one am keen to get my hand on one and then to own one as I have been impressed with all I have seen so far including Frank Johns Excellent demonstration at the Launch.
A lot has been said about the Fire Bird X not much however about its use of New Technology and the idea of an American Manufacturing company going to the bleeding edge of new technology and combining traditional craftsmanship to boot.

Well it seems I am in a minority if one were to look at Gibsons own general Forum here. Which incidentally I am banned from and where the Vandalism of a 50,000 views subject thread on another great Gibson innovation, the Gibson Byrdland, was also effected as part of some strange retribution. Why was I banned ( I do not know as no e mail or warning or anything of the sort was made). What is probable is that Expressing a wish to Own a Firebird X and standing by the view that playing and a versatile players guitar is more important than the style aspects of guitar ownership would get you banned from that other forum.

Anyway I thought I'd share with you Henry, that someone that supports your companies latest brave and visionary release is not able to represent the adventurerous view that the bold and the new and the different is to be celebrated and encouraged? I find that contradictory.

A link toi The Hank Garland Legacy Guitar Collection for sale at the moment through the Garland Family. I am a personal Friend of the family and have modelled my own Byrdland a model I will play and add to the models in the Firebird X.Maybe Billy will allow me to Model Hanks 25 anniversary presentation Byrdland , a gift from Gibson and I would add that to it as well.
